This post is inspired by the song “Heart Is Hard To Find” by Jimmy Eat World.
Two years ago today, I was getting ready to head up north to the O2 Academy in Birmingham to see them play live.
It the first time I had ever seen them in concert and I was beyond excited. They did not disappoint, in fact – They. Were. Awesome.
A lot has changed in the last two years.
I have changed a lot in the last two years. I’ve learned to take calculated risks; to stand up for what I believe in; to step out of my comfort zone and to find the courage to follow my dreams.
Yes – Heart is definitely hard to find, but it’s totally worth the effort when you do find it.
Heart Is Hard To Find – Jimmy Eat World.
I can’t compete with the clear eyes of strangers
I’m more and more replaced
By my friends each night
I can’t compete, I just can’t recover
How many years it’s been, it’s day one in my mind
That’s the first step each time
The heart is hard to find
Yes, the heart is hard to find
It’s hard to find the heart sometimes
I can’t compete with your new found religion
The good words seems everywhere
But good words only
I can’t compete with a real education
All the fucked up things you say
Couldn’t possibly be any less help to me
The heart is hard to find
Yes, the heart is hard to find
It’s hard to find the heart sometimes
The heart is hard to find
The heart is hard to find
It’s hard to find the heart sometimes, hard
It’s hard to find the heart sometimes, hard
It’s hard to find the heart sometimes, hard sometimes
We arrived early, picked out our seats (which totally rocked btw) – I’d even managed to sneak in my camera – here’s one of my favourite photos from the show.
Check out more photos from the second time I saw them in concert in my “Just Watch The Fireworks” photo gallery.
Happy Birthday, and that’s a great track!
